EMS receives new ambulances

Updated: Monday, December 30 2013, 03:15 PM CST

WICHITA, Kansas - Sedgwick County Emergency Medical Services has received three ambulances with upgraded safety features.

The new ambulance design is an effort to improve the safety of Sedgwick County EMS crews while on the road.

The new ambulances now include the Sedgwick County EMS patch logo and features enhanced passive warning systems.

Among the most noticeable changes to the passive warning systems are the directional striping outlining the box and cab of the ambulance, and the diagonal, divergent, conspicuity striping covering the rear of the vehicle.
