VALLEY CENTER, Kansas - Four people have been arrested in the murder of a Valley Center mother.

The shooting happened in the 5900 block of East 109th Street North Friday night.

The arrests came four days after the shooting that left Melissa Bluml dead, and her husband, Roger, in critical condition.

County officals announced the arrests Wednesday.

"The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office has arrested four people in connection with the homicide investigation of Melissa Bluml and the aggravated shooting investigation of Roger Bluml," said Lt. David Mattingly, Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office.

Eighteen-year-old adopted son, Anthony, who went by Tony, and his biological mother, 35-year-old Kisha Schaberg from San Diego, were both arrested on first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.

Also arrested, two 18-year-olds, former classmates of Tony's, Andrew Ellington and Braden Smith.

Officials say Tony had made several recent visits to his birth mother in California, but they didn't say when or how recently he had returned to Kansas.

"Again, I'm not going to discuss the details of this case. It could jeopardize the prosecution," said Capt. Greg Pollock, Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office.

Officials also saying little about the crime itself, saying the two victims were found on the property not in the house.

All four arrested on suspicion of first degree murder and attempted first degree murder and Bluml, Schaberg, Ellington were also arrested on aggravated robbery and burglary.

"Detectives expect to meet with the district attorney's office later this week to present the case," said Pollock.
