Police identify two killed in overnight crash

WICHITA, Kansas – Wichita police have identified the two people killed in a crash at Kellogg and Seneca overnight.

They are 27-year-old Matthew K. Tanges and 26-year-old Angela M. Watson.

Wichita police say they were responding to a burglary call in the 1100 block of South Elizabeth.

While waiting for backup to arrived, two suspects fled the scene on a motorcycle.

The officer tried to stop them, but they ran several red lights at intersections.

The two on the bike ended up hitting a car that was exiting off of Kellogg and turning southbound onto Seneca.

Both Tanges and Watson were thrown off the motorcycle.

They were taken to the hospital. Both died of their injuries.

Police said the motorcycle was stolen a week ago, and the house they were targeting was vacant.
