Two from Georgia killed in Pawnee County crash

LARNED, Kansas - Two people from Georgia were killed in a crash in Pawnee County.

It happened Wednesday morning about two miles west of Larned on K-156.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2005 Kia Sorento was eastbound when it left the road, struck a sign, came back on the roadway and rolled multiple times.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says 24-year-old Jeremiah Mendez of Morrow, Georgia and 24-year-old Mark Wheelous of Atlanta, Georgia were both killed.

Two other passengers, also from Georgia, were injured.
