Coronavirus privacy concerns at WSU

A debate over privacy versus public health is going on at Wichita State University.

Student journalists used a public records request to acquire an email telling instructors not to say anything to students about positive Coronavirus cases in their class.

Faculty says privacy is the reason and that they're restricted by a state law that passed in addition to HIPAA, but some students say the more information they have, the better they can protect themselves and they don't think privacy should be the main concern in the face of a pandemic.
