When there's an emergency, first responders show up. But, the Hutchinson Fire Department is taking that to another level to protect the people alongside them.
Instead of just gearing up to battle a blaze, six Hutchinson firefighters are signing up to be on the frontline in body armor. The members of the squad will not only be first on the scene, but they will be ready with their EMT training to make sure police officers are safe even under the most dangerous circumstances.
