Gov. Kelly orders masks mandatory beginning July 3rd

Kansas saw its biggest jump yet in COVID-19 cases over the weekend. There are now more than 14,000 people who have tested positive for the virus, an increase of more than 900 since Friday.

Following that news, masks are about to become mandatory for Kansans when in public places. Governor Laura Kelly's executive order goes into effect at 12:01 AM July 3rd and requires all Kansans to wear a mask when in public. The Governor says it doesn't change where you can go or what you can do, it just means if you are around people where social distancing is not possible, you must wear a mask.
