Governor closes Kansas school buildings for the remainder of school year

Governor Laura Kelly made the announcement to close all Kansas school buildings for the remainder of the school year late Tuesday afternoon, leaving parents and students wondering what happens next.

Wichita Public Schools say learning will continue in some form. Education will start up again on March 30th.

Spring events including prom, graduation, and all athletics will be cancelled. Students will still be able to graduate, and meals for students will continue.

FOX Kansas News reporter Greg Miller has more on the story in the video posted above.
