Your next trip to the grocery store will likely cost you more.
Shoppers are seeing the highest monthly increase since the 1970s. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics consumer price index, the cost of groceries soared by more than 2% in April.
Individual products saw different increases. Meats rose around 4%, cereal and bakery products rose about 3%, and eggs saw an increase of over 16%.
