Kansas BOE hands decision on start of fall classes to school districts

Your child's school district and not the Kansas Governor will have the final say on when classes resume this fall.

That was the final decision from the Kansas State Board of Education on Wednesday morning. The final vote came down to whether a board member felt local control was more important.

With the 5-5 vote, sending the issue of when and how to open schools to the local districts, FOX Kansas News reporter Eli Higgins gathered reaction from parents.
