Local law enforcement seeing a rise in job applicants

As some law enforcement agencies around the country continue to see the number of applicants drop, the Wichita Police Department and Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office say they are seeing just the opposite.

The departments joined in on a partnership with Wichita State University and opened an academy on campus last year. Since then, they are saying they're seeing more interest from people wanting to earn the badge.

FOX Kansas News at 9 reporter Tiffany Lane spoke with both departments and has the story in the video posted above.
