He waited a lifetime to see the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl and died just hours before the Big Game.
Michael O'Donnell, Sr. was the pastor at Grace Baptist Church and an avid sports fan. He was known in Wichita for two things: his love of God, and his love of sports. He was also the father of Sedgwick County Commissioner Michael O'Donnell, Jr. He died suddenly while in Miami enjoying the pre-Super Bowl festivities.
