It's a new state law effective January 1st, that some believe will help hold those responsible for using fake money accountable.

The use of counterfeit currency with the intent to defraud, a felony level charge, used to be a U.S. Secret Service matter so it was prosecuted at a federal level. Now, at state levels, local agencies can prosecute and charge counterfeit claims. For one business owner, this is some good news.
