The day Martin Luther King, Jr. came to Kansas

Monday was Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and today marks the 53rd anniversary of his speech at Kansas State University.

He gave a convocation speech titled "The Future of Integration" on January 19th, 1968, less than three months before he was assassinated in Memphis. A recording of the speech disappeared from K-State decades ago, but another recording has resurfaced.

FOX Kansas News reporter Jessica Crawford has a special report on the day King visited Kansas in the video posted above.
