Wichita city council to take a closer look at future of Century II

The Wichita City Council is set to take a closer look today at the future of Century II.

A group of Wichita residents stepped up ahead of that council meeting with their own petition to save the building. Dozens of people outside City Hall and downtown Wichita on Monday were all campaigning to save the convention center.

The city decided on a version of the Riverfront Legacy Masterplan moving forward without the building. Supporters are hoping to get at least 12,000 signatures in the next six-months. This could change a policy allowing you to vote on whether Century II should stay or go.
