Wichita City Council votes to replace popular "Mead's Corner" building

The Wichita City Council voted to demolish and replace the "Mead's Corner" building in downtown Wichita

After percolating for a few weeks, we now know the future of the "Mead's Corner" building.

Wichita city council members voted 6-1 to overturn the Wichita Historic Preservation Board's request to save it.

A developer plans to replace the building with a four story commercial development. Disappointment is how one member of the alliance says he feels with the city's decision.
