Wichita Police take on domestic violence surge in city

A special team of Wichita police officers is working to curb the city's domestic violence surge.

Within the last week, the city has worked 24 domestic violence cases. Now, the Wichita Police Department has launched the Domestic Intervention Violence Reduction Team, or DIVRT, on Monday. It's made up of six officers to research and track down domestic violence offenders daily.
