Wichita Police work to inform homeless of open shelters in advance of first cold snap

The Wichita Police Homeless Outreach Team is keeping an eye on those living on the streets as temperatures take a dive.

The H.O.T. team says this cold spell is a taste of what's to come and they are working to get the word out about winter shelters opening soon.

FOX Kansas News at 9 anchor Jasmine Haynes followed along with Officer Nate Schwiethale as he worked to get the information to our homeless community members.
