VANCOUVER, British Columbia (SBG) — Celebrities are helping a woman search for a missing teddy bear that contains a recording from her dying mother.
Mara Soriano, a resident in Vancouver, Canada, said it was stolen from her Uhaul during a hectic move.
The teddy bear has a red and white dress with a white jean jacket. Inside the stuffed animal was a recorder with Soriano's mother's final message to her.
"It was so important to me because she had a recording on it that was specifically just for me that said she loved me, she was proud of me, and she'll always be with me," Soriano told CNN. "I hugged it every time I missed her."
Soriano's mom, Marilyn Soriano, died on June 29, 2019, at the age of 53 after battling cancer. The bear is also sporting black frame glasses just like Marilyn used to wear.
The bear was in a bag with other items, including important documents and expensive electronics.
