TSA Precheck now running at Mid-Continent Airport

WICHITA, Kansas - If you like leaving on your shoes, coat and belt when you go through security at the airport, there's good news for you.
 
The Transportation Security Administration unveiled the TSA Precheck system at Wichita Mid-Continent Airport.
 
The fast screening program allows a person to keep on their shoes, belt and even a light jacket when they go through security.
 
It is offered in nearly 100 airports throughout the United States.
 
"We have for several years had lots of passengers pass through here, that's gone 'When are you going to get pre-check?' said Keith Osborne, TSA Federal Security Director. "So, those folks are obviously delighted and have been looking for it." 
 
Officials say about 600 passengers using Wichita's airport are in the program.
 
You can sign up through an airline's frequent flyer program.
 
Right now, American, Delta, United are using the pre-check system.
 
Southwest is expected to go online later this month.
