WICHITA, Kansas - Wichita police arrested two men after 17 vehicle break-ins.

It happened around 3:40 a.m. Thursday morning in the 300 block of South Firefly.

Police say a person called them after seeing someone breaking into their car.

"After giving a description of the suspect and a red car, officers were dispatched," said Lt. Doug Nolte, Wichita Police Department.

Officers arrived and found the car with two men, ages 18 and 21, inside.

They were arrested.

After investigating, officers found that at least 17 cars were broken into.

"Of the property recovered, most went back to the original owners once they identified the property," added Nolte.
