Time running out to claim $1 million Powerball ticket

TOPEKA, Kansas - Lottery players may want to check their junk drawers and those places in vehicles where items just seem to disappear.

A $1 million Powerball ticket from the January 26, 2013 drawing remains unclaimed, and time is running out for someone to claim it!

The winning ticket matched the first five numbers, but not the Powerball.

The winning numbers from the Jan. 26, 2013 Powerball drawing are: 3-22-26-41-49 Powerball 18.

The ticket holder has 365 days from the date of the drawing to claim the winning ticket.

The $1 million ticket was sold in the southwest region of Kansas which includes these 24 counties: Greeley, Wichita, Scott, Lane, Ness, Rush, Hamilton, Kearny, Finney, Hodgeman, Pawnee, Stanton, Grant, Haskell, Gray, Ford, Edwards, Kiowa, Morton, Stevens, Seward, Meade, Clark, and Comanche.

For security reasons, it is the Kansas Lottery's policy not to disclose the store where the ticket was sold until the ticket is claimed. If the ticket is not claimed, the prize money stays in the Lottery's prize fund to be used for future prizes.
