Arrest made in radio station death

WICHITA, Kansas Wichita police have made an arrest in the death of 25-year-old Daniel Flores.

He was beaten and killed at Steckline Communications Monday.  He suffered severe blunt force trauma.

Police say the arrest happened just after 10 p.m. Wednesday at 37th and Woodlawn.

The suspect stabbed himself in the stomach after being arrested by police near his home in northeast Wichita.

The suspect was rushed to the hospital in serious condition.

He underwent surgery and should be released later today or tomorrow.

He will be booked on felony murder charges.

Police say the suspect dated a woman who worked at the station, but they are no longer together.

Police say Flores was likely not the target and was in the wrong place at the time.

A tip to Crime Stoppers led to the arrest.
