Victims identified in deadly shooting

WICHITA, Kansas - Two people are dead following a shooting in southwest Wichita.

It happened just after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at Meridian and Wildwood near an apartment complex.

Police say two victims, 24-year-old Cayli Phillips and 50-year-old Eddie Centeno-Martinez, were pronounced dead at the scene after being shot.

Police say the 27-year-old suspect showed up at Via-Christi St. Francis and was taken into custody.

A third person was taken to the hospital with stab wounds. Police arent releasing his name.

Dozens of police cars, ambulances and fire trucks converged on the scene and remained throughout the early morning hours.

Police say the shooting was the result of an on-going dispute that lasted four days, and all four victims were involved in the fight.

The fight isnt gang-related.

Police say the stabbing victim and suspect frequented the apartment complex.
