Vet Adopts His Bomb-Sniffing Dog

(From WWMT) - She looked for bombs in Iraq. He was her partner.

Thursday they are together again after an emotional reunion at O'Hare Airport.

Sgt. Jason Bos, who lives in Kentwood, Michigan, served with Cici the bomb sniffing dog while they were in Iraq.

When Jason left the military he kept in touch with Cici's new handler through Facebook.

When he heard she was set to retire, he jumped at the chance to adopt her.

"A lot of these dogs aren't able to go back to their handlers. I'm one of the lucky ones," said Sgt. Bos. "I don't know what it is about me, but we had a great relationship and it's only grown in that time frame."

The Humane Society paid about $1,200 for Cici's flight home from Germany where she was last stationed.
