Man hit by car in Hutchinson

HUTCHINSON, Kansas Hutchinson police believe alcohol was a factor in a crash that injured a man as he crossed the street in Hutchinson.

It happened just before 2 a.m.

Police were called to a collision in the 1400 block of East 26th Avenue.

They found a Dodge Magnum driven by a 29-year-old Wichita woman that collided with a 29-year-old man.

The man was transported to Hutchinson Regional and admitted for severe scrapes to his body and fractured ribs.

Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in this motor vehicle collision for both the driver and the pedestrian.

The collision is still under investigation by the Hutchinson Police Department.
