Former jail deputy sentenced to probation for attempted sex acts
WICHITA, KS Former Sedgwick County deputy, David Kendall, accused of trying to have sex with inmates was sentenced to two years of probation on Friday.
Kendall pleaded no contest in May to six counts of attempted unlawful sexual relations and one count of false information.
Former deputy David Kendall faced more than a dozen counts of sexually assaulting or attempting to assault six inmates over a three-month period in 2012.
Lawyers for the victims have filed a civil law suit against the county for $20 million.
