SWAT team searches home for possible Fidelity Bank robber

WICHITA, Kansas - Wichita police are looking for a man who robbed a bank Thursday morning.

The call came out around 10:30 a.m. that the Fidelity Bank at 3525 East Harry had been robbed.

The teller tells police the man walked up and demanded money.

He left the bank heading south.

Police are looking for a man wearing a black shirt and black baseball hat. He was armed with a handgun.

"We have some information that the suspect may be in one of the houses. There is GPS tracking we are also following," said Lt. Walker Andrews, Wichita Police Department.

Police believe the man is in a home the area of Yale or Roosevelt.

"We had information that there was a possible suspect ran into a house over here, and we're in the process of searching those houses and of course there's legalities in trying to determine if we need to draw a search warrant," added Andrews.

The Wichita Police Department SWAT team was on the scene searching a home Thursday afternoon.  They have since left the scene.

No one was hurt in the bank robbery.
